Educational Dance Trips

Every year, Dance FUSION goes on a dance trip to enhance their knowledge of dance.  Over the years, the group has been to San Francisco, Chicago and New York.

The San Francisco trips have entailed taking master classes at the San Francisco Dance Center, home of Alonso King’s LINES CONTEMPORARY, City Dance Studio, and ODC. The group also attends a dance performance and, in the past, they have seen the San Francisco Ballet perform.

During the 2005/2006, 2008/2009 and 2017/2018 school years, the dancers traveled to one of the greatest cities in the world: the BIG APPLE in New York City.

The New York trips have entailed:

  • Master classes at STEPS and Broadway Dance Center

  • Private classes at Broadway Dance Center and Alvin Ailey

  • Tours of Alvin Ailey, Julliard Arts School and the city

  • Attending performances such as Chicago, In The Heights and contemporary companies performing at  Joyce Theater.

  • Performing at South Street Seaport and the Cerebral Palsy Institute

During the year of 2010/2011, Dance FUSION traveled to Chicago!
